How it works

Four steps. That's the whole product.

  1. 01

    Plug in

Insert the USB. Double-click on Windows, ./fixstix.sh on Mac & Linux. No install, no admin headache.

  2. 02

    Describe

Tell the AI what's wrong in plain English. "It's slow." "WiFi keeps dropping." "Printer won't print."

  3. 03

    Fix

It diagnoses, explains, and fixes — with your approval on every action. Every command and install is tracked.

  4. 04

    Clean up

Run /cleanup to reverse every install from the session. Unplug. The PC is exactly how you found it.

Why it's safe

The AI proposes. You approve.

No "yolo mode." Ever. Every action is explicit, logged, and reversible.

40+ dangerous commands blocked 0 / 40 blocked live
🛑

Approval on every action

The AI proposes a plan. You accept, tweak, or reject each step. Nothing touches the machine without a yes.

📜

Full audit trail

Every command, timestamp, and result written to the USB. SOC 2-ready for IT pros and MSPs.

🔒

No personal file access

Documents, passwords, browser data — all off-limits by design. The engine can't even open them.

↩︎

Reversible installs

Every install paired with its uninstall command. One /cleanup and the machine is pristine.

📡

Local-only mode

Run Ollama on the USB host — 100% offline. Zero data ever leaves the machine. Perfect for air-gapped IT.

Cut diagnosis 80%

Pros report a full triage in under 5 minutes. A ticket's worth of work before the coffee's cold.

Pricing

One-time. No subscription.

Two ways in. Same engine. Same audit trail. Same zero-trace promise.

FAQ

The honest answers.

Does FixStix install anything on the PC?

No. It runs entirely from the USB. If the AI needs to install software to fix an issue, it asks permission and logs everything. /cleanup reverses installations.

Does it need internet?

Not necessarily. With Ollama local, it runs 100% offline. Cloud providers (Claude, GPT, NVIDIA NIM, Grok) need internet but offer more powerful models. You can also run Ollama on one machine and connect over WiFi from others — great for IT pros servicing multiple PCs.

What can it fix?

Slow performance, network issues, startup bloat, driver problems, disk cleanup, service configuration, printer issues, system updates, and more. It also detects hardware issues (failing drives, overheating, bad RAM) and malware warning signs.

Can it install software?

Yes — through safe package managers (Chocolatey, winget, brew, apt). Every installation requires your approval, is logged, and can be reversed.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Personal files, passwords, and browser data are never accessed. 40+ dangerous commands are blocked. Every action requires approval. With local Ollama, no data ever leaves the machine.

What's an API key?

Like a password that lets FixStix connect to an AI model. Get one from your provider of choice — NVIDIA NIM has a free tier, Ollama is completely free/offline, or use Claude/GPT/Grok (pay-per-use). Typical cloud session costs less than a dime.

Can I customize the AI's behavior?

Yes. The system prompt file on the USB controls behavior. Tune it for your environment, add company policies, or specialize for certain types of issues. Engine is readable JavaScript — no black boxes.

Your mom's PC doesn't stand a chance.

Plug it in. Describe the problem. Watch it get fixed.
